About Us

Navan Camera Club was formed in 1987 when a small group of people finished a local VEC course in beginners photography and decided to start a club.
Since then we have grown and currently have nearly 90 members with varying levels of photography experience from advanced to complete beginners.
The club is lucky in that it is one of the few clubs in Ireland that can boast having it’s own dedicated premises complete with lecture room, studio, darkrooms and canteen.

The annual club programme runs from September through to the following May.

Meetings are usually held every second Monday at 8.00pm.
These consist of lectures, club competitions, workshops, practical’s, studio sessions and usually finish around 10.00pm.
We also organise regular club outings, most of which are tied into the club lectures.
The annual weekend away takes place towards the end of the club year.

The club also runs a Digital Beginner’s Course.
This is an intensive 8 week course which covers all the basics from understanding the settings on your camera right through to creating great images.

Details of membership fees can be found on the Programme Page along with an application form.

The club house is on the Kells Rd out of Navan (N3), about 1/2km past Newgate motors, last two houses of a row of houses on the LHS, red door.
The gate is very narrow so be careful when turning in. On the night of a meeting there will be an illuminated sign at the gate.
